"These dikes hold 110% of the volume of the tank, so even a major leak or spill wouldn''t run onto the ground and find its way into the water supply," says Dale Pipes, bestsmallestcordlessdrill manager of Boone County Oil.Pipes selected the UL-rated 12-gauge steel tanks and containment dikes for the installation. The tanks, from We-Mac Manufacturing, North Kansas City, Missouri, cost $385 each while the dikes added $495 each. The 110-volt pump, hoses and pressure valve added $431 per tank.
