For 15 days, the man lived, worked, and exercised in the chamber as the wheat crop took in his carbon dioxide and produced oxygen for him. The control system--our first for ALS--monitored and provided caution and warnings for the climate and nutrient environment of the wheat crop. However, many industry pundits claim these gizmos are nigh-on revolutionary, as claims fly around about how time at the ironing board can be slashed by 50% a week when using one. All agree, too, that the benefits of steam generators soon dispel the issue of cost to a customer who, a few loads of ironing down the choosing line, will wonder how they coped in those darker pre-generator days; just as dishwasher owners can''t imagine how they ever managed without a dishwasher."Cost immediately dismisses them [steam generators] from consideration for most buyers but those who see or get the chance to use a generator tend to put one at the top of their buying list, so the potential is enormous," says Alan Poulain, director of small appliance sales at BSH,
