Martz, who produces grain and livestock on a 430-acre farm, was using a pair of 300-gallon tanks on overhead stands for gasoline and diesel storage. The facility, shown on the next page, was typical of systems on many farms. However, while serving on the Boone County Soil and Water Conservation Board, Martz became aware of its potential environmental hazards."We''ve been on this farm since 1960, and the rightanglecordlessdrill fuel tanks were put in place about then," says Martz. "We haven''t had any rightanglecordlessdrill major leaks or spills, but it''s easy to see how something like that could happen. The tanks we''re putting in are much safer."
